Lingobit Localizer keeps getting new features, version 5.5 announced

WPF and database localization, visual preview for XML, HTML and INI files, .NET WinForms editor for 3rd party components.

REDMOND, WA– April 22, 2008: Today Lingobit Technologies announces Lingobit Localizer 5.5, a new version of one-stop software localization tool that streamlines workflow throughout the entire localization process. In this release, Lingobit Localizer adds several new exciting features that allow developers to localize applications even more efficiently than before: improved WPF localization, database localization, XPath for XML files and visual preview for HTML, XML and other text-based files. With Lingobit, translations can be done both within organization or delegated to a translation agency using easy to use self-extracting package containing special edition of Lingobit Localizer and a project file.

NET 3.0 and 3.5 WPF Localization

Now developers can localize and even edit Windows Presentation Foundation applications visually thanks to the newly added support for WPF.WPF Editor in Lingobit uses .NET Framework to display forms and guarantee that forms are shown correctly.

Database Localization

One more important feature offered in Lingobit Localizer 5.5 is enhanced database localization. Usable interface and flexible customization features empower developers to translate and localize their databases in a quick and easy manner.Lingobit Localizer supports all major databases including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Oracle, IBM DB2.

.NET WinForms editor for 3-rd party components

After a radical redesign, visual editor for .NET Windows Forms offers unsurpassed capabilities for working with such third-party components as DXperience, NetAdvantage, Janus, etc. The editor loads displayed components on the fly and allows developers and translators to preview and synchronize translations visually.

Lingobit Localizer now supports visual localization of HTML, HTML Help (CHM) and text files.

XPath filtering for XML

At last, Lingobit Localizer 5.5 includes a new, long-awaited option for XML files localization. When you add a file now, you can specify XPath expressions in order to select only those fields that are necessary for localization while hiding all auxiliary information behind the scene.
