Translating Resources
Lingobit Localizer main window displays all the resources within the
project, source and target elements of the current resource and a series
of panes containing all the necessary information about the project. To
enter or modify translations for the selected element and set the translation
status, use Text editor pane. You can also edit any element or resource
within the project right from the translation editor.
To enable easy navigation through the localizable data, all resource
elements in the Lingobit Localizer project are assigned a translation
status. Each status value in the translation editor displays in a different
color. The user can view elements with a specified status only, by applying
Status Filter. See Using Translation Status for detailed overview.
With Lingobit Localizer, you can leverage on the previously translated
work by using translation memory system. Translation memory is largely
effective when working on a reviewed or updated application. See Translation
memory for detailed overview.
You can also import translations from a previously translated application
file by using Import translations function (see Import
translations). You can extract one or more target language translations
from the file. These translations can be used in the existing project.
After you added new features or fixed some bugs in your application,
you can leverage on your previous work and translate only new and changed
resource elements by using Scan for changes function. New and updated
elements in the project will be assigned New
and Updated status
